About Me
Alexis Nguyen’s journey into filmmaking began at her high school, where she learned about film production and theory. During this time, she discovered her love for storytelling and its ability to transcend cultural barriers. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film/Video from the University of Texas at Arlington in December 2019.
Alexis specializes in Production Management and Assistant Directing, but she also has experience in other roles--such as, editing.
Her spec commercial, Color My Life, won an Award of Excellence in the 2020 BEA Festival of Media Arts. Two of the short films she produced and directed, Diary of a Burnout (2016) and Ocean Waves (2017), won the student shorts competition at the Asian Film Festival of Dallas. She is currently in post-production for Echoes of the Ocean, a documentary she filmed in Vietnam.
